With reference, to Paragraph 3 of your letter of

the 16th August 1899, No:19252/99, relative to land

required by the War Department at the Devil's Peak on the

new territory at Hong Kong for defence purposes; I am

directed by the Secretary of State for War to forward,

for the information of Mr.Secretary Chamberlain, the

accompanying tracing which shews the boundary between the

Naval and Military Reserves as arranged locally between

the Naval and Military authorities at Hong Kong; and to

say that Lord Lansdowne agrees to the boundary as therein

defined.
